What causes psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a skin condition that can cause dry, flaky and sometimes crusty red patches of skin. The surface of the skin often looks like it is covered in silvery scales. According to the NHS psoriasis affects around 2% of people living in the UK. There are also claims that over 125 million individuals are living with psoriasis worldwide.
Psoriasis can start at any age but is more common in adults under 35 years old affecting both male and females equally. Psoriasis can come and go and but for some can be just a minor issue with mild irritation. However, for others the symptoms can be a lot worse and may affect their quality of life.
Individuals with healthy skin produce new skin cells that gradually move up through the various layers of skin. When they reach the skins surface they become dry and gradually die and flake off. This routine takes about 3 to 4 weeks.
However, those diagnosed with psoriasis regenerate these skin cells about 3 to 7 days. They build up quickly on the surface of the skin, causing dry, flaky crusty red patches covered in silvery scales. It then becomes itchy and aggravated often causing scarring due to scratching.
Can Natrabalm help my psoriasis?
There is no cure for psoriasis and Natrabalm is not a treatment for psoriasis. Natrabalm helps you to manage the dry skin associated with psoriasis. Natrabalm 100% emollient cream calms the irritation, soothes the itching and repairs the irritated area. Many are switching to Natrabalm to discover the wonderful benefits of its natural oils and plant extracts.
In a recent trial a lady called Becky Durham contacted Natrabalm asking if it would help with her psoriasis that she has suffered with for over 20 years. She claimed to have tried every product from the chemists and even from her doctor, but nothing seemed to help. We sent Becky some Natrabalm to try asking her to take photographs showing us what her psoriasis looked like before trying Natrabalm and after using Natrabalm. The results were amazing with Becky claiming that the itching stopped almost immediately. After just 9 days her skin looked great and for the first time in 20 years she told us she was able to wear short sleeved tops. Take a look how Natrabalm helped Becky here.
Using Natrabalm Soothing and Cooling Body Wash and also Natrabalm Soothing and Cooling Body Oil will also help to improve dry skin often associated with psoriasis.
